Homeschooling Resources in

Northwest Arkansas


Notice of Intent to Homeschool Form:  every homeschooled student in the state of Arkansas must complete this form each year.  The due date is usually August 15th.  This form asks for basic information about your homeschool and your student(s).  It also serves as an agreement/understanding that you are responsible for homeschooling your child.   It is electronically submitted to your local school district.  

Local Tutors:
Academic Advantage Tutoring:  Private tutoring (in-person or virtual) for students in pre-K through college who need one-on-one help. They offer individual instruction, homework help (supporting your student’s existing homework) as well as enrichment and advanced learning options.

High school classes for the 2025-2026 school year (depending on interest) are:

Chemistry

Honors Chemistry (more math, faster pace)

Physics

Honors Physics (more math, faster pace)

- science classes use Berean Builders curriculum

- these meet once per week for 1.5 hours

Algebra I

Geometry

Algebra II

Pre-Calculus

- math classes are in planning stages


All classes meet at her home in South Springdale (near the NWA Mall) on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Tina Constatin - certified teacher who creates learning pods for high schoolers. She creates custom high school classes for individuals and small groups.  She teaches CLEP prep, ACT prep, most test preps, all high school math, science, history, government, and civics courses.  She also teaches ELA and Comp I courses.  Tina helps students prepare for duel credit classes.  She has a team of accreddited teachers with an office in Bentonville and several church locations.  Contact Tina for more info at tlchands2@gmail.com

  

 


Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC):
NWACC is an excellent resource for homeschoolers in the Northwest Arkansas area. Check our their website for info on high school concurrent/dual enrollment courses and how to apply. They also have plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trade school programs.    

Educate NWA - Homeschool Resources for NWA: this website contains information on local homeschool groups, tutors and teachers, sports, Facebook connections for homeschooling families, dance, music, art, and theatre, speech and debate, libraries, curriculum, and more.  Check out their NWA calendar for homeschooling events. 

Education Alliance:  This organization serves as a liaison between Arkansas homeschooling families and the Department of Education Homeschool Office.  You can find many resources on their site, from homeschool teacher discounts at museums and attractions, to obtaining a student ID card, to having your senior participate in a graduation ceremony with other Arkansas homeschoolers, and much more.

Local Homeschooling Facebook Groups:  these groups may help you to stay informed of local events and homeschooler social activities.  You can learn about used curriculum sales, homeschool dances and proms, and many other activities/resources.  


NWA Christian Homeschoolers -  Facebook group for sharing field trips, play dates, or just being there to support for each other.

NWA Homeschool Hub -   Facebook group connecting homeschoolers all over NWA to help provide opportunities/resources for our students, better one other, and help support one another on this journey.

NWA Homeschoolers - Facebook group. Our purpose is to connect locally in Northwest Arkansas, share & inspire each other as we go through this amazing homeschool journey together!

NWArkansas Homeschoolers -  Facebook group for making communication and meetups easier for homeschoolers in the area.

Ozark Homeschool Community -  Facebook group and uses Band App. Homeschool fields trips, play dates, park dates, dances, and events. No fees or dues.
